I grew up in a family of seven, with 3 brothers and a sister, in the Adelaide Hills on a 2.5 acre property with lots of trees and scrub to explore and which to play.  This affinity with nature and bushland has stayed with me and I now consider my self a 'naturalist' with an eye to preserving environment and what we have.

I come from humble roots.  My parents were working class and scrimped, saved and re-purposed items all their lives to ensure we as children were clothed, fed and schooled.  My parents were compassionate, family oriented and loving.  I was lucky in this respect.

In working life, I have worked with great colleagues, staff and organisational personnel alike.

In business, I have rubbed shoulders with competitors and have had the privilege of providing Employee Assistance Programs and Critical Incident Debriefing services to some of Australia's largest public and privately owned enterprises.

With keen analytical skills, an eye for detail, and a well-defined sense of social justice, I have assisted individuals and couples with adapting to new circumstances, to overcome adversity and to put trauma behind them.  An important part of my role has also been to secure resources by advocating and 'giving voice' to those who are disadvantaged due to adversity or unforeseen situations arising.  It could happen to any of us.

I am at a point in life where I now have wisdom as an older therapist and counsellor who has been practising in the human domain for 36+ years.  I still enjoy new learning and working with others to realise their potential.  I value each day and what it brings as a rich tapestry to my life.  I attempt through my caring and compassion for others to make it a better world in which to live, despite the horrors we are alerted to everyday in the media.

If I can assist you in some means, do not hesitate to contact me.  I would be honoured for you to do so - Tim
